An active media composer (The Punisher, Mobsters, The Shadow, Columbo), Dennis Dreith has orchestrated and /or conducted scores for such pictures as Misery, Addams Family, Heart and Souls and A League of Their Own providing services for John Williams, Lalo Schifrin, Dominick Frontiere, Marc Shaiman, Hans Zimmer, Elliott Goldenthal, Mark Isham and Cliff Eidelman. As a record producer, Dennis has worked with The Tokens, the O’Jays, Ellis Hall, Tatá Vega, and numerous A-list jazz artists. In addition, he served as Music Supervisor on several major motion pictures as well as Music Consultant on the legendary Barbra Streisand New Year’s Las Vegas Concert. Dennis has also composed numerous works for the concert stage and is a member of the Improvisatory Minds (jazz composers writing music for the concert stage) and is on the board of directors of Hear Now promoting new chamber music works. Dennis held the position of International President of the Recording Musicians’ Association (RMA) for 15 years and served as a consultant and member of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) Negotiating Committee. During that time, he addressed the U.S. Congress House Sub-committee on Intellectual Properties and worked with Congress in support of numerous IP issues subsequently becoming the Administrator of the Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund, and CEO of the AFM & SAG-AFTRA Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund. Dennis is currently the Chairman of Transparence Entertainment Group, a premier music rights organization securing neighboring rights and related royalties for performers and rights owners. Dennis is a frequent panelist and lecturer, and formerly on the faculty of the UCLA Extension School and a member of the UCLA Entertainment Studies Advisory Board. When not sailing his boat Sancerre, he is also engaged as the managing partner of Graef Wines (a boutique Napa winery specializing in Rhone style wines).
